(MEGO) REVERSE FLASH ; 50th Anniversary World's Greatest Superheroes

I recieved my MEGO 50th Anniversary Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne / Professor Zoom) from the WORLD'S GREATEST SUPER HEROES and I couldn't be happier with it!

I was excited, not skeptical that we were going to get some new figures in this line we had not gotten before. Most of all, this guy! One of my favorite DC villains for decades, and among the few that truly flourished and came into being through the live action TV series The Flash. Not originally issued by MEGO in the 1970s this is a brand new sculpt and character debut.
Like the other boxes, this one hits the mark on each level. Really cool and inspiring character art and a good color scheme that perfectly contrasts the figures shade. The quality is that perfect blend of being collector friendly but not over protected, bulky, or overly sturdy, and also not being cheap and flimsy. These are really close to the originals.
A little factory stiff off the insert, I removed the costume to work the joints and was very happy with it's movement and poseability. Once again the new bandless body delivers giving this figure a height and stance that just plain works! There is something about the stance of these that I like a lot more than the regular waves of DC they've previously produced in the last couple years. The outfit fits well, giving a little slack so it doesn't crumple up in the armpits or knees, but snug enough where it doesn't baggy or ragged.
The lightning bolt on the chest emblem sticker wants to come off, but after working it on with my finger it seems to have stuck and doesn't want to peel forward now.
The eye sockets on the masked head are beaming red with the pure hate and evil of Eobard coming through as a nice attention to detail. I do think a Silver-Age variant with flesh colored eye holes would have been cool, or with the beaming shining pupils seen more in the Bronze-Age also would have been fun, but I'm not complaining. I think if the eye sockets were just normal eyes it would look more like a FLAST repaint whereas this hammers home it's a different character because of that.
If you're a Bronze-Age DC Kid , I can't recommend this figure enough. The poseability is endlessly fun on this, and you can really get him in a lot of the poses seen in the comics and TV series. Kudos to Mego! You're attempt to bring new characters into the line is a success and I look forward to getting more of them. BRAINIAC and BIZARRO are at the top of my want list. The more villains the better!
